WE LOST A GEM. Uncle Paul was my favorite uncle, an accomplished gentleman. He was responsible for my admission to St. Peter Clavers Aghalokpe (we share the same alma mater). During my secondary school days and my early formative years, I had bonded with him so much. It was uncle Paul who taught me how to play monopoly and scrabble. He kept a tab on me as I progressed through early adulthood. When I left the shores of this country for further studies, it was my intention to read microbiology as this was his line. He was the pacesetter for our generation. But as fate would have it I ended up as a pilot. Uncle Paul made sure he kept me close to the family. He was a family man. It was uncle Paul who brought me and my father together. Uncle I will never forget you for that gesture. He was also very close to my mom. Everytime on his way to the airport, he would detour to see how well I and my family are doing. He would always call me ( I hardly called) Uncle Paul loved me and I loved him so dearly. He was the bond for the family. He took the name of the family to the greatest heights, within and beyond the shores of this country. He was a great and accomplished man. Now that he is gone, I wonder what will be of us. We have lost a gem. I will forever miss him, but I know he has gone to be with the Lord. Farewell my great uncle till we meet to part no more. Capt.
