Uncle Akwe! Did not expect this at all. Thank you for all the love and support you gave my siblings and I when first my dad Charles Opene-Obi passed away and the major role you played in ensuring we were guided properly at my mum’s funeral too. You were my go to uncle to deal with questions regarding our culture. You also reminded me always that seeking God’s face in all things was most important. I will miss hearing the warmness in your voice when you called me ‘Nyajikweni’ ☺️ A name my late grandma gave me. You were an epitome of what a Christian husband and parent should be. You touched a lot of lives. Thank you for all you did to encourage us all. May the good Lord receive you in His Bosom! Rest in Peace Uncle. Amen!!!
